THE BACKSTORY:
Laura Mendelow, owner and founder of Mendelow Consulting Group, has been formally applying leadership, team dynamics, and organization effectiveness strategies since 1994. However, it wasn't until 2004, when her first child was born, that she actually began to fully embody leadership. As a desperate parent of a "highly spirited" child, Laura tried anything that might work. She turned to her toolkit of resources and began experimenting with leadership concepts at home. Over the years (and yes, it was years, not months) with patience and perseverance, she began to see transformational results. The key was an intentional focus on her goals using a non-judgmental, solution-focused, dynamic approach. Laura recognized that as her relationship with her child improved, her leadership skills in the workplace also improved. This eventually led to her underlying philosophy of being a leader in life. And, on April 1 2012, she launched the Mendelow Consulting Group (MCG) who's mission is to develop dynamic leaders, both at work and at home.
